The Horrible Artwork of Myke Hideous

This drawing took me many, many months to complete. From conception of images, to drawing them on the board with the graphite sticks I used. Entitled: "Leviathan’s Coarse Web To The Astral Plain", it is the largest drawing I've ever completed. It's size is: 32"x40" on hot press board. I framed it myself with a frame I was saving for just such a piece. This piece will be for sale, and prints of the original will also be made available for purchase at a lesser price. The price for the original with the frame is $3,500.00. This piece will be placed in the Originals section of this web site soon, with details for purchasing it. The prints will be located in the Posters section of this site, as soon as they are ready to be displayed. For now, since I just finished it, it remains here.

This is a simple piece I had been working on that I started several months ago, but never finished. So here it is. This piece is entitled: "Burning Planet". It measures 6.75"x31.5". Acrylic on wood. This piece will be made available for purchase in the Originals section of this web site. Prints will also be made available for a lesser price, once they are made and placed in the Posters section of this site.

Recently, in September 2010, I became an official member of the Audubon Society of America. (I'm an official bird watcher now.) On a hike in November, a friend of mine took this photo of me hand feeding birds. In this photo, a black capped chickadee is seen perched on my hand as it picks seed from my palm. The scenery was as spectacular as the birds we saw. Here are just a few photos of the birds I photographed that day. There is now a new section on the site that will contain my photos of all different types of birds I shoot. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

This past summer of 2009, two good friends of mine made some very special items for me that I’m pleased to have been given. Some of you may recall the sterling silver pendants that were produced by Mario Risch in Germany, for the 20 year anniversary of my band known as The Empire Hideous. In addition to the pendant, Mario made me an official Empire Hideous, sterling silver ring with the same Hideous ‘EH’ logo on it. Only two of these rings exist at the moment. One belongs to me and the other to Mario.

In the summer I also did some photographic work for my good friend Justin Murphy, (owns ‘til Death .925/a custom jewelry shop that produces one of a kind pieces). The day before my art show on Halloween, I was also given a ring that Justin made for me. Prior to that day, he told me to draw any design I wanted on the ring and he would produce it. My design includes: *the word “Necromancer” which spreads across the bottom of the ring’s band, *the symbol of “C’thulhu” which is inside and at the top of the pentagram (sort of looks like a triangle), *the initials “MCMZ1” at the bottom of the pentagram, *the year “1966” around the pentagram, *and finally on the sides of the ring, two, dog-like beasts which are medieval symbols of how demons were represented 1000 years ago. And there you have it. My very own, personalized, sterling silver ring made for me by Justin Murphy of www.tildeath925.com.

If you would like either one of these fine gentlemen to produce something for you, you can contact Justin through his web site listed above, or if you’re in Europe and would like to contact Mario, go to MykeHideous.de

My thanX to both Mario and Justin for the unique works of art they made for me.

Horrible Artwork update:

First off, I would like to say thanks to everyone that has been supporting the web site and attending to view my pieces. It’s been a great honor to hear your compliments to my work.

Next I would like to thank my web-master for his constant help and dedication for piecing this entire site together for me. Without his help and hard work, week after week for 10 months, nearly 300 pictures and photographs later, the site would probably never have happened. So, thank you very much Master Mario, for a job well done. Viva la Germany! Or maybe Viva Und Deutschland! (I think I spelled that right).

Finally, I would like to draw your attention to my latest additions to the site, numbers: 0144 through 0147. I hope you like them.

Number 0144, “Fuck Off Warhol!” is a remake of an earlier poster I did which is also on the site.

Number 0145, “Suave Zombie” which is a complete computer remake of the original, which, under no mysterious circumstances…. didn’t show up on paper after being scanned.

Number 0146, “Untitled Collage” is a simple, yet somewhat post-modern art form design that includes lots of shapes, eye-balls and various color. Not exactly my cup of tea, but something I explored as a challenge nonetheless.

At last, my personal favorite, number 0147, “Resistance Of Temptations”. Part three of a trilogy of drawings I did that took several years to complete. *For further details on all these and many, many more designs, go to the POSTERS section of this site, after clicking the ART link. *For a larger view of any design, click on the picture to enlarge it.
